About

When I first came across coaching as an approach for personal and professional development I had been involved in teaching and training for a long time.  Having often come away wondering what difference all this training actually made to individuals and organisations I was very excited when I found an approach that was so effective and empowered people to continue to make changes and develop.

My coaching experience now influences all the work I undertake.  I also use coaching tools in my own life and have my own coach.  Of course the difficulties and inevitable challenges of living haven’t magically disappeared.  But what has happened is that I have developed a confidence that whatever happens I will be able to find a way to respond that will support the things I value in life and provide a platform from which to move forward.

Prior to setting up my business as an independent coach and facilitator I worked mainly in the voluntary and statutory sectors. With a business studies degree I became involved in project development and management, moving on to developing and implementing quality assurance systems within organisations such as Mind and Action for Children.  Through a range of different roles I have worked with teams and individuals to improve their capacity to develop and deliver high quality, effective services.

My corporate and personal coaching diplomas were gained with The Coaching Academy. My NLP qualifications (Practitioner and Master Practitioner) and Clinical Hypnotherapy Diploma were gained through Communicating Excellence and I am approved by the North East England Service Provider Register.  I have a Certificate in Counselling, Frontline Skills training and I undertake regular professional development.
